Social MediaBURNT’s social media presence is our primary tool for outreach to local and state elected officials, businesses, chambers of commerce, other citizen groups and students. Volunteer to moderate our Facebook page, share relevant posts on our twitter account, or add a new social platform to our arsenal.
Monthly Electronic Newsletter
Have experience with mailchimp or other e-newsletter systems? Help us draft and disseminate an electronic newsletter containing crucial information about our group’s activities.
Fundraising and Event Work
Are you a born planner? BURNT needs you on our team! Organize a 5-k, start a petition on change.org, or determine annual events and celebrations for the group.
At the core of BURNT’s efficacy is a dedication to thorough research of all the topics that concern us. Help with analyzing EPA reports, press releases and other first-hand documents goes an immeasurably long way.
BURNT believes wholeheartedly in the power of partnership in activism. We’re always looking for active, informed members who are part of other groups such as the Sierra Club.
Appearances at community gatherings are the key to our citizen outreach. If you have any experience with PowerPoint presentations or audio/visual equipment setup, we’d be honored to have your help for our next public event!
